Stephen Curry Raised Over $1 Million for Charities With His 2974 Limited Curry Genesis Flow NFTs
Warriors superstar Stephen Curry released the ‘Curry Genesis Flow’ shoes as NFT to commemorate breaking the 3-point record.
Stephen Curry is one of the best players of this generation. The 6’2 Warriors superstar has won 4 championships, 2 MVPs and is now the Finals MVP as well. However, he rose to fame after revolutionizing the way basketball is played.
Steph completely changed the way the game is played and showed the world that scoring is not the only way to dominate. Steph and his Splash Brother Klay Thompson won the 2015 Championship, showing how the 3-point line can be used as an asset.
Curry has been considered the best shooter for quite some time. However, in December 2021, he crossed Ray Allen for the regular season 3-point record. At that time, Steph became the official marksman for GOAT. To celebrate the same, Under Armor and Steph released the ‘Curry Genesis Flow’ sneakers as NFTs, and only 2,974 of them were made.

Stephen Curry raised over $1 million for charity
In late December 2021, Curry Genesis Flow launched as an NFT. Only 2,974 of it were released, commemorating the record by making their triple 2,974. Each shoe was priced at $333 and they sold out almost as soon as they were released.

All the money made from these NFTs was planned to be given away to various charities. The initial goal of $1 million was reached almost instantly. The money was given directly to charities listed by Curry and UA. So far, the figure has surpassed $17 million and is not slowing down.
