Sneak peek into the swanking new 750,000 sq ft LeBron James Nike Innovation building

The LeBron James brand only continues to get stronger. It will continue to grow, just like today when he opened his own Nike building.

NBA players are by far the most marketable athletes in the United States. It all started with Michael Jordan, taking the business factor to new heights. At the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, a large number of athletes had the opportunity to become Jordan.

Until, LeBron James. The Nike athlete has been the brand’s star player for more than two decades and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down.

He has more than 20 unique shoes and is now building a Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

You know you’ve made it when the brand that sponsors you names a building after you. For many athletes, this simply doesn’t happen and isn’t likely to happen either.

Very few have had this unique privilege. LeBron James joined this elite roster today. After waiting three years, he finally got a building named after him.

LeBron James should be proud of Nike’s impressive new innovation lab that spans 750,000 square feet!

Nike has given “The King” pretty preferential treatment, no other athlete has a building named after him on campus, except for LeBron James.

And it’s big. LeBron opened the 750,000-square-foot building today, along with Nike CEO John Donahoe. He was seen spraying champagne and also cutting the celebratory ribbon.

The facility is designed for more than 700 employees and is called the LeBron James Nike Innovation Lab. The new facility will act as the crucible for the next generation of innovation to emerge from Nike.

Perhaps the 21st iteration of King James’ signature shoes will spring from this very hub. What do you think?
