In the midst of a 4 game losing streak, the New Orleans Pelicans took a huge hit when Zion Williamson was placed in the league’s health and safety protocols. While Brandon Ingram was already out with a toe injury, playing without Zion on the team definitely left the Louisiana-based franchise shorthanded.
Despite what analysts and detractors had to say, with the All-Star duo of the former Duke Blue Devils sidelined, CJ McCollum and the remaining Pelicans stepped up and played some impressive basketball.

NOLA supporters would be happier with the positive interview the 6-foot-6 All-Star gave. Speaking about his availability for the Pels-Wolves clash, the 22-year-old said he would most likely suit up.
Zion Williamson said he will most likely play tomorrow.
“I gotta play. I sat on the sideline enough last year.”
Said he didn’t have his legs under him yesterday and knew he couldn’t go.
