Pune Police have arrested one of the suspects and his assistant allegedly involved in the murder of Punjabi rapper, Sidhu Moose Wala.
According to Indian media reports, the Pune police have arrested one of the suspects Santosh Jadhav (a sniper) and Navnath Suryavanshi (his assistant) involved in the Punjabi rapper’s murder case.
According to the details, Jadhav, 24, and Suryavanshi, 27, members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, were caught by Pune Rural Police from Mandavi tehsil in Bhuj in Gujarat.
Previously, the name of a Pune resident, Siddhesh Kamble alias Saurav alias Mahakal, had come up in the Moosewala murder case, while the recent arrests were made based on information provided by Kamble.
“All of these suspects, Kamble, Jadhav and Suryavanshi, are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang based on our main investigation. They have played a role in the Moosewala case,” Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kulwant Kumar Sarangal said, adding that they are “coordinating with the Delhi and Punjab police and exchanging information.”
He added: “Kamble had done a reconnaissance of some places and targets for the Bishnoi gang. Kamble knew that he was sending a threatening letter to Salman Khan. We are investigating further information provided by him.
”
Jadhav was reported to be wanted by the Pune Rural Police in connection with the murder of criminal Onkar Bankhele alias Ranya, from the Manchar area of Pune in August 2021.
It is pertinent to mention that Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in the Mansa district of the Punjab state of India on May 29. A Canadian-based gangster, Satinder Singh, aka Goldy Brar, claimed responsibility for the Punjabi artist’s murder, claiming revenge for killing his brothers.
Several Indian and foreign artists have paid tribute to the deceased singer.
