This time, the beef is with Kevin Durant. The two-time NBA champion, after a dramatic whirlwind worthy of a Mexican soap opera, agreed to stay with the Nets.
In the ensuing chaos, Barkley took a shot at Durant and his championships.

The Brooklyn Nets, quite frankly, imploded last season. The Kyrie Irving saga hurt the franchise more than they could have anticipated.
Kyrie’s refusal to get vaccinated not only cost him 53 games, it also cost James Harden the team. Now at guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, Harden’s reasons for parting ways with the Nets included Kyrie’s “selfish decision.”
In exchange for The Beard, Brooklyn received Ben Simmons and Seth Curry. Not a bad deal considering the Nets’ continued defensive struggles. However, his inability to play in the playoff series against the Boston Celtics cost the team a championship campaign.
In the offseason, Durant made headlines after reports that the 6-foot-10 superstar wanted to leave the team. From there, things only escalated and soon everyone was questioning the value and legacy of KD.
Sir Charles hurried after the Thin Ripper.
Barkley: “He gets angry when we say it, he took advantage of the Warriors to win his first two championships, but if you look back and look at his career, as the best player and being a leader to go with it, he’s been an abject failure. ”
Later, while on his own ‘The Big Podcast’, Shaq backed up Barkley’s claim. He enunciated the impact of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on both KD rings.
Shaq: “If you look back and look at his career as the best player being the leader, it all goes with that as well. We were all there. We saw OKC up 3-1. One more game and when you’re the guy, all the pressure is on you. Many people were talking about the bus driver. Chuck was absolutely right. He didn’t drive the bus in Golden State. You were on the bus. You were sitting up front.

KD, who is an Instagram aficionado, handles criticism in his own way. Well, his style is basically interacting with trolls on Twitter.
Still, there’s no denying that Durant is one of the best players in the league. He is an offensive force like no other.
But it is also true that he has not been successful in his career, except for his time with the Golden State Warriors.
