Patrick Beverley claps back at Skip Bayless for criticizing Russell Westbrook on Twitter
Newly acquired Lakers guard Patrick Beverley applauds veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless for his recent comments about teammate Russell Westbrook.
Gearing up for the season of his dreams, Patrick Beverley aims to make sure he starts off on the right note alongside teammate Russell Westbrook, with whom he has a pretty nasty history.
The two veterans have had their share of problems in the past, but are looking to make a fresh start.
Pat’s recent media outing with the Lakers was evidence of a new beginning in her relationship with Brodie. Mr. 94-Foot and Mr. Triple-Double showed their camaraderie to the fullest, kissing in public, with Beverley singing praises of Westbrook’s grit ethic and competitive drive.
Russell Westbrook didn’t just watch Patrick Beverley’s press conference from the side. He made sure Pat Bev looked good, tossing him a towel to wipe his sweat from working out.

However, many believed that this was nothing more than a photo op and a promotional tactic used by the Lakers to show that all is well in the neighborhood. Something veteran analyst Skip Bayless would agree with, leaving no chance to cast a shadow over Westbrook.
The Fox Sports personality has always been an avid critic of the solo nature of Brodie’s schemes and didn’t seem too pleased with the former MVP’s recent pairing session with Mr. 94-Foot. However, Beverley was not going to take any of Westbrook’s beatings.

It won’t be wrong to call Westbrook one of the most polarizing players in recent years. The two-time scoring champion continues to be scrutinized on a daily basis.
Some of the biggest criticisms of him include being a ball hog, stat hog, and not having winning as his main goal.
While there’s no denying his work ethic and competitive spirit, his playstyle continues to raise questions, with critics like Skip Bayless regularly taking aim at him. Recently, the Undisputed analyst addressed the camaraderie between Westbrook and Beverley during the latter’s introduction to the Lakers.
Bayless wasn’t about to buy into the recent bonding session between Russ and PatBev.
According to the veteran analyst, while Beverley will do his best to co-exist with Westbrook, the latter wouldn’t be particularly happy about Pat taking his minutes.

However, Beverley wasn’t taking any of these theories, responding to Skip, revealing that she had a good feeling about this. Although only time will tell if Pat and Russ co-exist on the court, the two have already begun to build a relationship.
