Nikola Jovic, Who Has Yet to Complete His High School, Already Passes Like Niokla Jokic
Nikola Jovic could be the lethal weapon the Miami Heat need to finally clinch a championship.

Although they reached Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals last season, it’s still too short for what they’re aiming for since they got Jimmy Butler in 2019 and went straight to the 2020 Finals that same season.
However, his offseason was not as active as it was last year. However, they still have the 27th pick on their hands and were somehow lucky to land a 6’10 Serbian striker who seems to have the potential of Nikola Jokic.

Is Nikola Jovic the second coming of Nikola Jokic?
What we got to see from Jovic in the last two preseason games for the Heat was just a preview of what he can bring to the Heat.
We have witnessed the goalscoring ability of the 19-year-old Serbian striker in the ABA League for which he received the most votes for the best international player who does not play in the NBA, made for the GMs, for the 2021-22 season.
But let’s look at Chris Paulesque’s passing ability in the post that is giving him more comparisons to his compatriot.

Even The Joker doesn’t make high post passes like these.
They seem to have what they needed at the moment, a striker who could get his buckets, create for himself and others, while also being good on the defensive side of the ball.
Jovic has the potential to become a Nikola Jokic with better defense
With Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson lacking defensively, they’ll need someone who can hold the line alongside Bam, Jimmy and Kyle Lowry.
People might see him as Nikola Jokic with a ‘V’ instead of the ‘K’, but Jovic could turn out to be a Bam Adebayo with a better 3-point shot and insanely good passing ability for them.

He had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and a steal against the Nets. The Heat surely would need this type of defense in the absence of PJ Tucker.
He, being a 19-year-old who has somehow not yet completed his high school graduation, makes his potential limitless. With the proper guidance, he could become Jokic or even better.

It depends solely on how Erik Spouelstra and Co. carry out their development. But with the “Culture of Heat,” there aren’t many places better than Miami for a young prospect.
Let’s see if they will be able to unlock their full potential or will it be another one-dimensional player like Herro or Robinson.
