Nida Dar ruled out of Pak-India encounter in CWG with concussion

BIRMINGHAM: All-rounder Nida Dar has been ruled out of the high-octane game against arch-rivals India as Pakistan announced the playing line-up for their second meeting of the Commonwealth campaign, here on Sunday.

According to the details, Dar was diagnosed with a concussion after he suffered a blow to the head in the first match against Barbados on Saturday.

Dar, who shone among the rest by going 50-for-32 undefeated, has been doing well with his injury, but his condition will be monitored for another five days.

Aimen Anwar, however, will replace Dar in the line-up for Pakistan’s game against India today.

The national team led by Bismah Maroof will be made up of Aliya Riaz, Omaima Sohail, Iram Javed, Muneeba Siddiqui, Ayesha Naseem, Fatima Sana, Tuba Hassan, Diana Baig, Anam Amin, Kainat Imtiaz and Aimen Anwar.

It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistani women lost their first Commonwealth Games match against Barbados by 15 runs despite a brilliant half-century from Dar.
