Lightning hits pickup truck, horrific video goes viral
A horrific video of a truck being hit by a huge lightning bolt is going viral on social media.
Michaelle Walen from Florida filmed the viral video. Her husband, Edward, was traveling in the vehicle that was in front of hers.

In the clip, the car was heading towards its destination without a hitch. Suddenly, the beam is shot at their vehicles, sending sparks and flames everywhere.
Edward spoke about it in an interview with a US-based news agency.
He said that he was traveling with his oldest daughter. She said the lightning from her made her feel terrified.
“You could feel a slight hum in the car as it hit us, and then my oldest daughter was sitting next to me and she jumped into the middle of my lap and screamed,” he said, as quoted in the report.

Edward said no one was hurt but it confused them and gave them headaches. He added that his vehicle was “completely fried” in the horrific incident.
According to the National Weather Service, vehicles can be severely damaged by lightning. It affects the electrical system. In addition, it can also break windows and destroy tires.
