Ailing Zulqarnain Haider receives financial aid from PCB

LAHORE: Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Zulqarnain Haider, who is suffering from an abdominal infection and underwent surgery, has received financial assistance from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Nadeem Khan, director of the PCB’s National High Performance Center (NHPC), and Junaid Zia, general manager of national cricket, visited the ailing cricketer at his residence and handed him a check to cover hospital bills.

It is pertinent to mention here that Zulqarnain represented Pakistan in eight caps between 2007 and 2010 before putting a controversial end to his brief career when he left the national team overnight during the Dubai tour.
