KL Rahul to travel abroad for treatment, to miss England tour
NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that Indian right-handed opener and vice-captain KL Rahul will travel abroad for treatment of his groin injury and will miss the upcoming tour of England.
Right-handed batsman Rahul, who missed the home series against South Africa due to injury, will now miss his forthcoming tour of England as the 31-year-old will travel to Germany for treatment.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah has confirmed Rahul’s unavailability for the England tour to an Indian News website.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian National Cricket Team will tour England to play seven matches, one Test (July 1-5) and six cue ball matches: three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Right-handed opener Rohit Sharma was set to lead the Indian side on the upcoming tour with Rahul as his deputy, but following the latter’s unavailability, the Indian selectors will appoint a new vice-captain.
