Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi’s today 7th death anniversary
The 7th death anniversary of renowned poet‚ playwright‚ and columnist Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi is being observed today Wednesday.
He was born as Ahmad Shah Awan on November 20, 1916 in the village Anga of Khushab District in British-administrated India and a graduate from the University of the Punjab, Lahore.
Qasmi was also editor and publisher of the literary magazine “Funoon” for almost half a century.
He received awards such as the Pride of Performance in 1968 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1980 for his literary work.
Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, the great literary person, said farewell to this world on July 10‚ 2006 in Lahore.
He was 90 at the time of his death.
