As many believe, James Harden is not the scoring beast he once was on the Rockets. The former MVP’s numbers have seen a visible drop in the past two seasons. Whether it’s his fitness or the controversial antifouling bait rule, The Beard’s struggles on the court have been evident.

The three-time scoring champion switched to the role of more of a facilitator, with a shocking drop in efficiency from him, including a hideous 33.0% from the 3-point line.

However, Harden looks to make a fresh start in the upcoming 2022-23 season, spending time in the weight room and on his conditioning with visible results. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the Sixers guard reflected on his past two years and ongoing transitions.

Going by the latest images of Harden on social media, the ten-time All-Star seems excited about the upcoming season. The Sixers shooting guard appears to have put on muscle and admits to working on his stamina. El Barba intends to return to his scoring beast mode.

With a net worth of $165 million, Harden decided to opt out of his $47 million player option and take a $15 million pay cut. The Sixers shooting guard’s decision was hailed by many for not taking a short-sighted approach. Chairman Daryl Morey signed the superstar to a two-year, $68 million deal.

With so many developments over the course, it’s about time we heard from Harden, who had this to say when asked about the upcoming season.
