WATCH: Kohli and Bairstow engage in heated exchange of words
BIRMINGHAM: Indian star batsman Virat Kohli and England’s Jonny Bairstow engaged in a fiery exchange of words on the third day of the rescheduled fifth Test at Edgbaston.
The incident took place when former India captain Kohli walked towards striker Bairstow from the slips and exchanged bitter words after Mohammad Shami parried him with an inside pitch.

On-field referees stepped in to keep both players calm as the situation heated up.
Meanwhile, Bairstow continued his sublime form and scored a half-century in a bid to lead his team to a competitive all-out.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bairstow and skipper Ben Stokes resumed play on day three with a score of 84/5 overnight after India completely dominated the hosts on day two of the Edgbaston Test.
