Suicide Attack on Police Mobile in Peshawar, SP Kalam Khan Killed

PESHAWAR: At least one policeman got killed and two others injured in a blast that targeted police at Pusht Khara Chowk in Peshawar on Thursday.

According to police sources, a suicide bomber targeted SP-Rural Peshawar Kalam Khan’s vehicle at Pusht Khara Chowk who was on his way to work along with his guards and driver.

As a result of blast, SP Kalam Khan was martyred while his driver and guard got injured who were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex for treatment.

According to AIG Bomb Disposal, approximately six kilograms of explosive material and ball bearings were used in the attack.

Body parts of the suicide attacker were also found from the site.

Security forces cordoned off the area and started investigation.
