SP CID Chaudhry Aslam martyred in Karachi Blast
SP CID Chaudhry Aslam and three others were martyred in a bomb blast that occurred near Essa Nagri Graveyard, Hasan Square area of the Karachi city on Thursday.
According to reports, three other policemen were injured in the blast after an explosive-laden car collided with SP CID’s vehicle.
Additional Inspector-General Iqbal Mehmood confirmed that he was killed in the blast.
The blast was heard from far distances.
The victims and the injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (J.
P.M.C.) and Agha Khan Hospital.
The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility of the attack.
PM Nawaz Sharif, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto, former president Asif Zardari, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, PTI chief Imran Khan, Sharjeel Memon, Governor Sindh Ishratul Ebad and other national leaders condemned the blast and his killing.
The PM in his statement said that Aslam was a brave police officer and his sacrifice would not go in vain.
Governor Sindh said that he set a great example of bravery in police.
Strongly condemning the incident Bilawal Bhutto said in his twitter message that cruel Taliban snatched yet another brave man of Pakistan.
Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the blast and ordered the authorities to carry out a thorough investigation into the attack. SAMAA
