Shaquille O’Neal Turned 7-foot Tall at 14 Years of Age As a Sophomore in High School
There are several stories that Shaquille O’Neal has to tell us about his childhood, but he chose this one, and it’s not quite right.
As successful as he is today, Shaquille O’Neal, valued at $400 million, grew up in an ideal home in Newark, New Jersey. When she was just a baby, her father, Joe Toney, was arrested and jailed for illegal drug possession.
Joe’s involvement in her life stopped right there. His mother, Shaunie O’Neal, who worked various jobs to support the family and her fast-growing son, later married a man who was a sergeant in the Army.
Phillip Arthur Harrison, whom Shaq describes as his real father to date. He credits Phillip with instilling everything he’s learned about being a good human being and a terrifyingly better father than his biological father.
Thanks to him, O’Neal, despite being the biggest kid in his class during his childhood, was never a bully. In fact, the now 7-foot-1 giant was bullied until he was 14 years old. But he unlearned some of those ethics after he grew up.

Shaquille O’Neal probably has a habit of making up stories.
The future LSU and NBA legend at 14 years old, while a sophomore in high school, moved back and forth between Texas, USA and Germany. And if she is to be believed, she grew 7 feet tall at that time and was somehow even bullied.

Now your Wikipedia and Robert G. Cole’s school records tell us that at age 16 he was 6’10 and one of the most dominant high school students in the country who helped his team maintain a 68-1 record in two years.
Shaquille O’Neal, 16, goes for Cole High School. His last year averages: 31 pts, 22 reb and 6 ast. Shaq had a game where he grabbed 36 rebounds AND blocked 26 shots.

Science says that almost all men grow to at least 18 years and some even to 20 years. According to that theory, The Big Diesel would have been much taller than he is today if he grew what he says at that age.
The man has even accepted that his actual height is 6’11 without shoes. He has said on another occasion that he never bullied anyone after fifth grade. So let’s stop believing the stories, assuming they are true from start to finish.

It could also be a cause of his increasing age. He may not give it away, but the man is getting old. Or maybe he just likes to make up stories, like Michael Jordan.
