Samrat Prithviraj director says script was originally for Sunny Deol
Bollywood movie Samrat Prithviraj writer and director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the script was originally written for actor Sunny Deol.
Samrat Prithvirajin which Akshay Kumar plays the lead role, is not doing well at the box office as it barely earned Rs 60 crore on a budget of Rs 250 crore since 12 days after its release. Samrat Prithviraj it turned out to be Akshay Kumar’s third consecutive flop in 10 months.
He spent 18 years writing the script.
She wouldn’t have even imagined the fan reception to the movie.
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, speaking to an India-based news agency, said that he wrote the story 18 years ago while thinking of Sunny Deol for the lead role. He cited political victimization as one of the reasons for his failure.

He said that he would have preferred the historian to give his opinion.
“I would have very much liked historians to question this film or tell its story,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
“Now, because you don’t want to hear the story according to me and therefore dismiss it completely, it’s completely wrong. History doesn’t work that way.”
He said that the creators failed to “understand the mood of the people”.
“We made the movie on a grand scale, but people couldn’t connect with the movie,” he said. “I still don’t understand what’s wrong with them. The writers did their work with the utmost sincerity.

Samrat Prithviraj sees Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar playing lead roles.
The rest of the cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, and Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni.
The film is written and directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi.
It is co-produced by Aditya Chopra, Bharat Rawail, Sanjay Shivalkar and Amit Tomar.
