Punjab government issues notifications for increase in salaries of doctors working in the public sector.

The notification states that the salary increase has come into effect from July 1.

The new salary package for House officer doctors will now be Rs24,000. While for post graduate trainee doctors’ will be Rs42,500.

The agitation, mainly led by the Young Doctors Association, culminated in talks between the government and the doctors where the provincial government agreed to raise salaries of public sector doctors.
