PTA imposes Rs. 30 million fine on Jazz

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has imposed a hefty fine of Rs 30 crore on Jazz, an Internet and mobile network service provider, for poor service quality in seven cities in Pakistan.

A PTA panel led by PTA President Maj Gen (r) Amir Azeem Bajwa announced the verdict, stating that Jazz failed to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for service quality in all seven cities. bayareawellness.net/images/photoalbum/gif/cenforce.html

The telecom authority conducted a QoS survey during December 2020 and found that Jazz was providing poor quality services to its customers.

Subsequently, the operator was informed about the deficiencies and was given a month to improve its services. Jazz, on the other hand, remained reluctant to provide quality services to users in the seven cities. In addition to the fine, PTA has warned Jazz of legal proceedings in the event that it does not improve the quality of its services according to licensing standards and QoS Regulations.

Jazz recently landed in hot water after its system related to changing packages and paying bills went offline for weeks, leaving customers in mental anguish.
