NBA general managers voted Kevin Durant the best small forward in the league. However, Shannon Sharpe still believes in LeBron James!
The 2022-2023 NBA season is almost here and fans can’t wait. That said, the preseason keeps everyone on their toes.
One of the many good things about this is all the speculation. Especially when it comes to analyzing the highly anticipated survey of NBA general managers.
The survey provides information on all the expectations that general managers have for the upcoming season. This includes a list of the best players in the league by position, and the forward list has Kevin Durant in first place ahead of LeBron James. Something that many do not agree with.

Shannon Sharpe thinks LeBron James is still the best small forward in the league ahead of Kevin Durant
NBA general managers have cast their votes and the results are now available. Kevin Durant is the best forward in the league according to the NBA GM Survey.
Durant finished ahead of Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic, but not everyone is happy with the results. In fact, Shannon Sharpe claims that LeBron James, who finished fourth, is still the best small forward in the league!
The NBA general managers voted Kevin Durant the best small forward in the NBA, LeBron ranked fourth:
“They keep trying to find ways to disrespect greatness instead of appreciating it. I still think LeBron James is the best SF in basketball, he can do things that KD can’t do.” — @ShannonSharpe pic.twitter.com/YHYH063vIZ

Sharpe was furious with the results, going so far as to say it was disrespectful to LeBron’s greatness as a player. Even suggesting that The King can do things that KD can’t.
Unfortunately for Shannon, the league’s GMs have spoken and James has fallen behind Durant. As he already did in the survey last season.
Kevin Durant was also voted the best small forward in the league last year, beating out LeBron James.
There is no denying that King James is one of the greatest players of all time. That said, many no longer believe him to be the best in the league, as was seen when he also lost to KD in the GM ratings last year.
Durant had about 67% of the vote last season, up from 45% this year. At the end of the day, though, it all comes down to who wants it more, and LeBron is always hungry to win.
