The five-time NBA champion died last year at age 41 in a helicopter crash with his daughter and seven others, shocking the world of professional sports and making legions of his fans cry.
Bryant’s widow Vanessa, who started dating him when he was 17, offered an acceptance on his behalf while host Michael Jordan was around.
