Jerry Hall files for divorce from Rupert Murdoch

Jerry Hall filed for divorce from billionaire husband Rupert Murdoch on Friday, citing “irreconcilable differences,” six years after the couple married.

The 66-year-old model sought unspecified spousal support and attorney fees from media mogul Murdoch, 91, in a California court filing.

Hall said in the petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court that he was “unknown to the full nature and extent of all of (Murdoch’s) assets and debts, and will amend this petition when the information has been determined.”

He also asked the court to rescind his ability to grant support to Rupert Murdoch.

Hall’s lawyer, Ronald Brot, did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. Legal representatives for Murdoch could not be reached outside of business hours.

Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall married in a low-key ceremony at Spencer House in central London in March 2016. It was Murdoch’s fourth marriage.
