DUBAI: The Indian men’s cricket team has overtaken Pakistan as the Blue Shirts climbed to third place in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings after the resounding 10-wicket victory over England in the first ODI at the Oval on Tuesday.
According to the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan slipped to fourth position while India moved back to third place with 108 rating points after their victory in the last game.
Pakistan overtook India and moved up to third place last month after outright victory against West Indies in the three-match ODI series.
Indian pacemaker Jasprit Bumrah, on the other hand, secured top spot in the ODI bowling rankings when he jumped three places after his magical run of six wickets carried India to victory at the Oval.
Meanwhile, New Zealand remained the highest-ranked ODI team in the latest team rankings published by the ICC, followed by England in second place.
