“Ime Udoka was taking people out like Mortal Kombat!”: Celtics HCs off-beat talents resurface amidst Nia Long betrayal
Celtics head coach Ime Udoka may be a guy on the bench now, but he has some stories from his youth to tell.
The magic of the NBA offseason never ceases to amaze. And the beautiful thing about this is that anyone can get it.
Until just a few days ago, if someone uttered the name ‘Ime Udoka’, any NBA fan’s first thought would be of the excellent head coach of the Boston Celtics.
After all, the man changed this team tremendously during the regular season before leading it all the way to the NBA Finals.
But now? oh boy!
You see, Ime Udoka may seem like a quiet guy, but apparently, he’s a man of many… talents.
For starters, he recently got engaged to famous American actress, and J Cole’s personal example of the girl who got away, Nia Long.
Then, of course, the reason it’s gotten so much media attention, this.
Celtics coach Ime Udoka had an inappropriate consensual and intimate relationship with a member of the team’s staff, sources say. @ElAthletic @Stadium. It has been considered a violation of the franchise’s code of conduct.

Speaking of hands though, it seems that Udoka is also pretty good at throwing a few. And we mean scary good.

Ime Udoka’s story of skillfully fighting against the Algerian team players revealed by former teammate Gabe Muoneke
As an NBA community, we’ve clearly all deserved how much we’ve underestimated Ime Udoka’s talents.
In 2007, former Nigerian national team player Gabe Muoneke had a couple of stories to tell about some players. And well, before the spotlight shone so much on him, he also had a very interesting one on Ime Udoka.
Take a look at what i had to saydown.
“After we won it was the real problem.
After the game, they were waiting for us to come out of the locker room. And seriously, I didn’t start it. Kingsley Ogwudire was leading our team in a full blown tirade in his best Arabic. Next thing you know, there were three Algerian players on him. Everyone was in combat except me, if you can believe it. And lo and behold… Me! He was taking people out like in Mortal Kombat. *Finish him off!* Unbelievable. He was so out of it because he had five guys he was fighting (oh yeah, the crowd jumped when the fight spilled over onto the Senegal and Angola championship game pitch).”
The man hilariously continued further.
“In the middle of it all, I heard Ime, literally in the middle of another opponent’s punch, say, ‘Watch out, Gabe,’ and he calmly, I mean calmly, smeared a guy who, when I turned to see his warning, leap. from the stands with a chair to probably kill me or knock me out to where the crowd would have. I mean, Ime caught the guy in the air with a fist and calmly continued to dispatch the oncoming people.”
Moral of the story?
Joke all you want on Twitter. But if you see this man face to face, don’t you dare participate…unless you want a very personal introduction to the art of jiu jitsu, before you have one with the ground.
But jokes aside, our condolences to Nia Long.
Perhaps the only positive here is that they are not married yet, so perhaps the separation process will be much simpler, should both parties decide to do so.
We already know that J Cole is keeping a close eye on that.
