Engineering Entry Test Paper UET Leak: Two Employees Arrested

LAHORE: Gujjarpura police arrested two employees of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore on Wednesday for stealing and leaking outí the Entry Test papers.

The arrested were identified as Naib Qasid Anees and Syed Shuja-ul-Din. Lt. Col (r) Farooq Ahmed Khan from the UET had filed a complaint with the Gujjarpura police station, stating that Anees and his accomplice Syed Shuja-ul-Din were involved in stealing and leaking Entry Test papers.

Responding to his complaint, the police registered a case No 848/11 under sections 409/109 of PPC and arrested both of the accused. Gujjarpura SHO Ishtiaq said the police had registered a case on the complaint of the security in-charge of the UET.

The complainant had claimed that Anees, a university employee, was damaging the varsity repute due to his misappropriating activities, he said.

Further investigation was underway, he added.

To a query, he said that Incharge Investigation Gujjarpura Police had conducted a raid to arrest the accused but he did not know if the raiding team had been successful to arrest the accused or not.

When contacted, Moharrar of the Investigation Wing confirmed that the accused have been arrested.
