Deepika or Priyanka: Russo Brothers picks Captain Marvel for MCU

Filmmaking duo Russo Brothers have cast Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the MCU’s next Captain Marvel.

A video of the Mumbai premiere of the Russo brothers’ latest creation, ‘The gray man’ is making the rounds on the internet that sees the duo collectively prefer the ‘Citadel’ actor on his Bollywood rival Deepika Padukone for his choice of Captain Marvel if given the chance.

On the red carpet, the Russo brothers were asked to choose between Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to play the new Captain Marvel, to which they immediately replied: “We have to choose Priyanka.”

They also explained, “(We are) big fans, big fans. We are good friends. We are working on a project. We’re producing a show, Citadel.”

Padukone and Chopra are two of the biggest female stars in the Indian film industry and both have also worked on international projects. They were seen sharing screen space in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ next to the husband of the first, Ranveer Singh.

About Russo Brothers, his latest directed action thriller, hit the box office earlier this month for a limited theatrical release. It’s also now available on streaming giant Netflix.
