Shaquille O’Neal loves to have fun. The Lakers legend is known for not taking himself too seriously, something fans can’t help but fall in love with.
And late, part of that deal is posting backstage videos of himself letting loose and having a good time. In a recent edition of this trend, the great man decided to show his movements to his 34.4 million followers on instagram, doing the most fashionable dances of the last decade. And to be fair to the big man, he definitely seems to have some rhythm going.
Since WNBA star Candace Parker is likely the person behind the camera, O’Neal posted a clip in which she can be seen doing a move to several different iconic songs, including ” by Lil Uzi Vert.I just want to rock‘, and ‘from the Cali Swag District ‘teach me dougie‘. And although it starts off a little weak, the big man seemingly picks up the pace as the clip progresses.
“Yes, I have all the dances.”
Admittedly, Shaq’s impression of the ‘Just Wanna Rock’ move isn’t the best in the world. But from the moment he was called to do the Dougie, the big man began to get softer and smoother with his movements.
In the end, it’s almost a little easy to forget that this is a 7ft 1″ man who performs impressively fluid dances that most still struggle to perform.
O’Neal’s dance may have left fans dying of laughter and asking for more, and the good news is that there absolutely is. Not long ago, Shaquille O’Neal competed against Candace Parker and Jamal Crawford in a ‘Guess the NBA Player’ contest on an episode of Inside the NBA.
Before the final round, Parker had seemingly sealed his victory. However, the last question was for all the marbles. And even if you don’t know it, with a little luck (and a little cheating too), O’Neal got the answer.
To celebrate, he quickly began to dance very happily.
Candace Parker was left furious by the entire ordeal, and it’s really hard to blame her. That said, fans probably won’t mind that they got to see more of Shaquille O’Neal’s rhythm because of it. In fact, perhaps this was what motivated him to try all the iconic dances in the first place. And if that’s the case, the WNBA star should be hailed as a hero by the NBA community for taking a huge step forward for the team.
