Zion Williamson Was Once Accused of Illegally Gifting Parents $950,000 House to Attend Duke
Amid accusations of accepting inducements to play for the Duke Blue Devils, photos of the house Zion Williamson received for his parents have gone viral on social media.
Long before zion williamson was dominating the NBA, the young man was sweeping the college basketball level. Representing the Duke Blue Devils, the 6-foot-7 forward was considered the best prospect since LeBron James.
During Zanos’ only season playing under Coach K, the then 18-year-old averaged a staggering 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting a 68% extremely efficient from the field.
As a reward for a stellar season, Williamson received numerous incredible accolades: the John R. Wooden Award, the ESPY Award for Best College Athlete, and the Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year, among a long list of historic feats.

However, Zion’s run on the North Carolina-based show wasn’t as light-hearted as it seems.

For avid fans who remember, in 2018, Clemson University was the favorite that was going to be blessed with the southpaw’s presence on their roster. In fact, according to many Crystal Ballsthere was almost an 85% chance that the then Spartanburg prodigy would play for the Tigers.
To everyone’s surprise, on January 20, 2018, Williamson donned a Duke cap, heralding the start of his journey as the Blue Devil.
Fast-forward a few years after his arrival in the NBA, Zion’s former marketing agent, Gina Ford, accused the former of accepting incentives from Duke that motivated him to play for the Blue Devils.
According to Gina, one of the many “gifts” the young woman received was a home in South Carolina valued at $950,000. The stat that raised the most eyebrows: Zion’s family went from living in an $895-per-month rental house to a lavish mansion with $4,995 monthly rent.

To be honest, the whole fiasco update is still pretty mysterious with no concrete evidence to back up the accusations.
However, with the next season fast approaching, the only thing NOLA fans need to worry about is Zion’s performance.
