‘Don’t worry Hasan, we are behind you’ Wasim supports struggling pacer
KARACHI: Legendary left arm pacer Wasim Akram came out in support of right arm pacer Hasan Ali and called on cricket fans to support him.
Wasim, in a recent video message, supported Hasan, the struggling right arm pacemaker, and called on the nation to stop criticizing the latter.
“I have a request to the fans to stop criticizing Hasan Ali. If we don’t trust him, then who will?” Wasim appealed.
“He’s just throwing his second over and he’s starting to trend on Twitter saying ‘Why is he playing?’ Please give him some space, he has done well for Lancashire recently and people are in awe of his services,” she maintained.

Wasim further extended his support for the pacemaker, calling it the match winner.
“Hasan, don’t worry about these guys. We are all behind you. As a former cricketer and former captain, I think the whole country is behind you. So all my support goes to Hasan,” he said.
The legendary pacemaker also reviewed the performance of the Greenshirts in the first ODI against the West Indies and congratulated Babar and company on the magnificent victory.
“I’d like to congratulate Babar on achieving a total of over 300, which was a tall order to ask. You scored a hundred, Imam, again that was impressive as he is a consistent player, and then of course Rizwan, we all know what a great player he is. Khushdil then hit well at the end and finished the game,” Wasim said.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan defeated West Indies by five wickets in the first ODI of the series. Skipper Babar Azam laid the foundation for the chase with the century, Imam and Rizwan also contributed half a century, while Khushdil Shah’s brilliant strike at the end completed the match in the final.
