The Minnesota Timberwolves are going full throttle in their pursuit of a successful postseason run, and if you ask any of the players on the team, they’re up for nothing less than a championship.
The way they started their 2022-23 preseason against last season’s No. 1 team in the East, a 121-111 rout of the Miami Heat, gave them a glimpse of how they would meet this year.
Having two of the best big men in the league as their biggest stars alongside the duo of Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell in the backcourt makes them a contender even without any championships among the four.

Both 7-footers didn’t play in the first game, but the Frenchman got his chance to represent the Timberwolves for the first time on Thursday against the LA Lakers. And Rudy made some comments about their union on another victorious night.

Although the Lakers weren’t playing any of their likely starters for next season, the Timberwolves played Gobert, Edwards, Russell and Jaden McDaniels.
They are showing their intent to win games as soon as they get the chance, unlike the Purple and Gold team. And for them to do so when the season starts, the chemistry between Gobert and Towns is top priority.

Rudy can take defensive duties away from KAT, while the latter, with his scoring ability, will help Rudy fully focus on his defensive side of the game.
While typical big men like the 3x DPOY are slowly fading out of the league, the Cleveland Cavaliers He showed us last year that what havoc a frontcourt of two 7-footers and a couple of exceptional guards could wreak.
For Rudy and Karl to develop an instant partnership like Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, the duo will also have to build a relationship off the court if they want this to work in the long run.
