PSL 2022: Who is the leading run-scorer in PSL history?
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is famous for its bowlers, but there are some batsmen who have managed to impress the crowd and are the best in the history of the event, with Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam at the top of the list.
In the six editions of the league between 2016 and 2021, the modern-day great Babar from Pakistan, who plays for Karachi Kings, is the highest run scorer in PSL history with 2070 runs in 58 games at an average of 43 ,12.
His highest score is 90 not-out and he has 21 fifties. The batsman will get up to add to his run count at the upcoming PSL 2022.
Second on the list is Peshawar Zalmi starter and goalkeeper Kamran Akmal, who has scored 1,820 runs in 69 games with a healthy strike rate of 136.
84. He also has the most centuries having scored three centuries along with the highest score of 107 not-outs, along with 11 half centuries.
The third-highest running scorer is Shoaib Malik, who has amassed 1,481 runs in 61 matches with an average of 32.19 and a strike rate of 128.11, along with nine fifty.
Fourth on the list of leading run scorers is Australian Shane Watson, who also retired from the domestic leagues in the 2020 edition, scoring 1,361 runs in 46 games.
While fifth is left-hander Fakhar Zaman who has scored 1,351 runs in 50 games.
