‘PCB should make a documentary on Fawad Alam’s career’ Rashid Latif

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has called the career of left-handed batsman Fawad Alam a “case study” and advised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make a documentary about it.

Fawad’s 13-year career, in which the batsman has seen many ups and downs since the century in a test debut, ICC T20 World Cup 2009 glory, 10-year absence from the national team and his infamous return to the international circuit .

in 2020 he inspired former cricketer Rashid who asked the PCB to make a documentary about him.

“He saw a lot of ups and downs, including a ten-year gap in international cricket. Fawad Alam’s career is a case study. PCB should make a documentary about Fawad Alam’s career,” Rashid said.

The former goalkeeper batsman also welcomed Fawad’s inclusion in the trial squad for the Sri Lanka tour and praised the left-handed batsman; calling him one of the best batsmen in first-class cricket.

“Fawad Alam is among the best batsmen in the history of top-class cricket,” Rashid concluded.

It is pertinent to mention here that Fawad had a series to forget when Australia toured Pakistan after a 24-year gap in April this year. The left-handed batsman could only score 33 runs in two games.
