“Michael Jordan was punching his teammates but he was scoring 30”: NBA fans bring up MJ punching Steve Kerr while slandering Draymond Green

Draymond Green got off to a poor start to this NBA season after leaked footage showed him pummeling teammate Jordan Poole, Michael Jordan-style.

Warriors teammates got into a heated altercation Wednesday during practice that included Draymond throwing a big punch at Jordan Poole.

No disciplinary action has yet been taken as confirmed by general manager Bob Myers, and the star forward has apologized to Poole. However, there are many slanders circulating.

Additionally, the Warriors are also trying to figure out how the video of the hit was leaked, as it constitutes a major security breach for the team.

NBA fans make the comparison to Michael Jordan punching Steve Kerr

In light of all the memes and reactions to Draymond punching Poole, many people have drawn the comparison to Michael Jordan punching Steve Kerr.

If you watched ‘The Last Dance’ you know that Jordan was tough on everyone, opponents or teammates. He didn’t care who he was, but if he had something to prove, he would.

Once, during practice, Michael Jordan hit Steve Kerr, and when he thought about it, he realized that it was a very stupid move, and even called himself an idiot for doing it.

Steve Kerr said the experience helped their relationship grow.

The two talked about it like adults, and came to understand each other better after the fight.

Now, fans are comparing the two situations while simultaneously disparaging Green.

Draymond Green has fought with teammates before

While this is the first time Draymond has physically gotten into a situation with a teammate, he has had moments before when things between him and a teammate got heated.

During Kevin Durant’s final year with the Warriors, things were tense due to KD’s free agency situation. KD didn’t commit to returning, and that cast a dark cloud over the entire season.

During one game, Draymond mishandled a situation late in the game and Durant was visibly frustrated, and the pair began yelling at each other on the court.

The situation worked itself out, but as many people within the team suspected, KD left Golden State after the season. Green and Durant have also moved on, even after speaking publicly.
