Luka Doncic may be copying LeBron James hard, continues to use the King’s signature move sparingly in EuroBasketball Games

Did Luka Doncic steal LeBron James’ jump shot? Or are the two stars so similar?

These are two players who have been compared to each other quite a bit in the past. Now, of course, Luka Doncic doesn’t have the crazy athleticism of LeBron James. And frankly, the intricacies of how they go about their business are more different than most would like to give credit for.

But, at the end of the day, they are both tall and big forward points who can also get their bucket whenever they want. And every time they hit their stride, in both players’ cases, you start to wonder if they are in fact, or at least could one day become, the greatest players of all time.

But apparently, that’s not the only thing these two players have in common. No no no, apparently the way they throw the ball is pretty similar too.

Luka Doncic and LeBron James’ step back move change is almost identical to each other

Now, when it comes to LeBron James’ step-back jumper, we’ve all seen the memes. The man just swings his body to the left, and he does it so violently that every time he misses the shot after his move, the ball gets blocked so hard it almost breaks the rim frame, or there’s just a ball of air .

Now, you may be wondering what this has to do with Luka Doncic. And to that, we say just take a look at the form of the man in the clip in the tweet below.

Now, the influence may not be as pronounced as what the King does. However, the similarity in his footwork and the way his body generates momentum at the set point before the shot definitely look very, very similar.

Stranger still, both players had very different looking jump shots a couple of years ago than they do now. And even during that period, the form that both of them had was very similar to each other.

So is Luka Doncic copying LeBron James and somehow shooting a higher percentage? Or is it just a wild coincidence?
