Chamika Karunaratne was the star on the ball for the hosts, scoring 3/69. Nuwan Pradeep and Jeffrey Vandersay each claimed two wickets to ensure Zimbabwe did not reach an unattainable total.
Chasing a steep total, the hosts maintained the required run rate and stayed on track to pursue the target for most of the chase.
Pathum Nissanka (71 75 balls) and Dinesh Chandimal (91 75 balls) were the top scorers for the hosts.
Charith Asalanka (68-ball 71) contributed crucial runs and made sure the hosts crossed the line with five wickets to spare. Richard Ngarava was the star on the ball for the hosts, scoring 3/56.
