Giannis Antetokounmpo Calls Gilbert Arenas “Bitter” in the Most Subtle way Possible
Gilbert Arenas’ comments prompted a subtle response from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The indifference of the Bucks superstar says it all.
If there is anyone who is not offended by disrespectful comments, it is Giannis Antetokounmpo. Hailing from the streets of Athens, Greece, we think he’s been treated badly enough in his life not to be bothered by comments from a middle-aged podcaster.
Well, we’re not trying to strip Gilbert Arenas of his stature as a great basketball player. But his talk is just a rumor. To demean someone, who is perhaps the best player in the world, and say he doesn’t “get” basketball is just ridiculous.
Word spreads through the grapevine, and naturally, Giannis found out about his comments through his family. And like the charismatic guy that he is, he dismissed it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo does not take into account the comments of Gilbert Arenas
Despite all the taunts Gilbert threw at Giannis, he didn’t get upset about it. He said, “I come home and think about it and can’t sleep? Not necessarily.”. Cold.
He also added a subtle jab at Arenas by saying: “But at the end of the day, hey, I don’t know, when I’m 45 years old, 50 years old, I might be, you know, a little bitter too. I could be looking at, you know, this 20-year-old doing, signing 900 million over three years. … Maybe, I don’t know, but I don’t think so.”
Subtle, but effective. Antetokounmpo knew how to get his point across and he did. Giannis is already grateful for what he has and has no desire to be jealous.
We believe him much more than Gilbert Arenas. There are good and bad reviews, and even downright terrible ones. Gilbert’s comments belong to the latter.
