Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Friday as Shawwal crescent has been sighted in different parts of the country.

1st Shawal of year 1434 AH on 9th of August 2013.

The announcement was made by Chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, after chairing the meeting of the committee in Karachi.

Mufti Muneeb Ur Rehman said the confirmations of moon sighting were received from many parts of the country.
