‘Do I write it on stamp paper?’ Ramiz confident to continue as Chairman

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has denounced speculation about his removal from office, stating that he was not going anywhere.

Speaking at a press conference here today, the incumbent president sounded confident in continuing his role as he briefed on projects currently underway by the PCB, including the Pathway Cricket Program and the Pakistan Junior League (PJL).

“I’m not going anywhere. Do you want me to write it on Stamp paper?

” Ramiz said. “I know you guys want me to go,” he sneered.

Meanwhile, Ramiz hailed the Path Cricket program as a game changer for Pakistani cricket and expressed the possibility of fielding three teams at the same time in the future.

“My presidency depends on this project,” he said.

“The Pathway Program will identify and develop new talent. We may even feature three teams at the same time in the future,” she added.

In addition, he welcomed the private company for participating in the project and stated that the project will bring such talented players that they could throw and hit with both hands.

“The private company will pay all the coaches and expenses incurred on this road,” he reported. “Through this program we will bring out those who can hit and release the pitch with both hands.”

Ramiz further revealed the plan for running the inaugural edition of PJL when he commissioned legendary slugger Javed Miandad to oversee the league and announced Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Darren Sammy as the league’s icon players.
