Budget 2011-12: Rs 249 billion budget for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday announced the budget of 2011-12 with an outlay of Rs 249 billion.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister, Hamayun Khan presented the budget during the session chaired by the speaker of the provincial assembly.
A total of Rs 85.14 billion has been set for progressive expenditures.
Health and education will receive Rs 13.12 billion, while district governments will be given Rs 50.

The war on terrorism has been allocated a budget of Rs18.2 billion.
The provincial government has imposed taxes on private colleges and the tax ratio has been reduced for small cars and motorbikes.
The interim allowance of government employees has been merged with their basic salary.
Challan fee and late challan fee on small cars, rickshaws and motorbikes has been reduced.
