Australia vs India, World Cup 2015 2nd Semi Final at Sydney
The second semi-final will be played between the winners of quarter final two and the winner of quarter final four at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on March 26, 2015.SCG has a capacity of 48,000 and has hosted many games even other than cricket like rugby and Australian rule football.
The SCG has been witness to numerous memorable matches in the past.
It is on this ground that the great Don Bradman made his highest score of 452 not out for New South Wales (NSW) against Queensland.
By the time this match gets underway, the result of the other semi final would have been out. Co-hosts New Zealand made it to the semi-finals in the previous edition of the mega event, which was played in the sub-continent. Unfortunately Sri Lanka got the better of them, who then faced India in the finals in Mumbai.
The winner of this match moves directly to the World Cup final, which will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on March 29, 2015.
