Kyrie Irving’s emotional soliloquy on LeBron James’ leaderships shows his maturity
Nets star Kyrie Irving gave LeBron James his flowers, spoke about the incredible amounts of loads LBJ took while managing the Cavs.
In 2011, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Kyrie Irving as their first pick. Since then, Kyrie has spent six years in Cleveland, winning a championship along the way.
Kyrie came to Cleveland at a time of mourning the loss of LeBron James, and he gave them hope. Winning rookie of the year, Kyrie showed potential from the get-go.
The Cavaliers began to build a team around Kyrie, bolstering the team’s chances of winning a title with Uncle Drew at the helm. However, when LeBron James returned to Cleveland in 2014, Kyrie had to play second fiddle.
James led the Cavaliers to their first NBA Championship. However, just one season later, Kyrie disbanded the team and moved to the Celtics to have his own team to lead and no longer play second fiddle. Many assumed things were tense between Kyrie and LeBron; however, the latest episode of ‘The Shop’ shattered all those rumours.

Kyrie Irving shares the importance of having a strong support system
Through his years playing with LeBron and then playing without him, Kyrie Irving has learned a very important lesson. After seeing how things turned out in Boston, and then now in Brooklyn, Irving learned a very important lesson.
Speaking of the same thing, he said,
“The best thing I would say to young people is that superheroes need help too. The team leader doesn’t always have to take on the load, and Bron took on crazy loads.”

Kyrie then went on to talk about his wife and how she has been supportive of him through all the uncertainty and everything that has happened in the last few years.

Seeing Kyrie go from someone who wanted to get away from Bron, to realizing how much LBJ sacrificed for the team, is a huge growth on his part. While we probably won’t see them play together this season, maybe they could team up again during their free agency next season.
