HCA Awards: RRR beats Top Gun to become runner-up for Best Picture
indian cinema Raise Roar Revolt (RRR) beat out Hollywood’s The Batman and Top Gun: Maverick to become a finalist for Best Picture at the HCA Awards.
Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli’s South India project lost the award to everything everywhere at once.

Apart from the batman Y Top Gun: MaverickElvis, Cha Cha Real Smooth, The Northman, Everything Everywhere at the Same Time, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Turning Red and Marcel The Shell with Shoes On they were also in the race.
Rajamouli’s RRR is a global sensation. American comic book writer Jackson Lanzing along with screenwriter Larry Karaszewski praised the project.

Set in the 1920s, RRR is the story of two legendary revolutionaries and their journey far from home. They return home to begin fighting the British colonialists.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan play the lead roles of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, respectively.

Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli, who gained great fame for his work in the Baahubali film series, has directed and written the screenplay for both. It is a DVV Danayya production.
