Gold prices in Pakistan climbed on Tuesday, November 3, with market updates quoting 24-karat gold above Rs411,000 per tola as firmer international bullion prices pushed local Sarafa rates higher across the country’s bullion markets.
The increase matters for millions of buyers and jewellers, because gold remains the most common store of value for Pakistani households and the 22-karat rate used for most jewellery moves with the same market.
Daily Pakistan reported 24-karat gold at Rs412,136 per tola on Tuesday, up Rs2,400 from Rs409,736, while the 10-gram rate rose Rs2,058 to Rs353,340.
Morning market updates had quoted a slightly lower figure, putting 24-karat gold at Rs411,200 per tola, up Rs1,200 from the previous close, according to TechX, which tracks daily Sarafa rates.
Other purities moved up alongside the benchmark, with TechX quoting 22-karat gold at Rs377,033 per tola, 21-karat at Rs359,895 and 18-karat at Rs308,395, while silver held steady at Rs5,388 per tola.
International prices provided the push, with Daily Pakistan reporting gold at $3,896 an ounce, up $24 from $3,872, and noting that rupee-dollar movements also feed into what local buyers pay.
The rupee offered no offset to the rise, with TechX reporting the US dollar steady at Rs277.55 in the open market, unchanged from the previous day.
City quotations tracked the same trend, with Daily Pakistan reporting a Karachi selling price of Rs411,500 per tola and a higher Peshawar selling price of Rs422,500.
The rise partly reverses a sharp slide in the closing sessions of October, when Daily Pakistan reported 24-karat gold falling to Rs409,736 after a single-session drop of Rs10,800.
Gold had already rebounded a day earlier, as SialNews reported, with prices recovering from a one-year low as oil prices eased.
Confirmed so far is Tuesday’s upward move across the main purity grades, while the final shop price varies by city and jeweller because making charges and margins sit on top of the Sarafa rate.
Buyers should confirm the day’s rate with their local jeweller before purchasing, and market updates continue through the day.
