Microsoft Security co-pilot is an AI-powered tool capable of analyzing security threats, responding to them, and quickly assessing risks, as well as process signals at machine speed.
Some of the various Microsoft Copilot tools are currently undergoing internal testing, while others, such as Security, are currently in preview. This means they are not public, however, you can follow and subscribe to Microsoft security updates here.
This new tool will revolutionize the way we work, making communication and organization more accessible than ever before.
Microsoft Security Copilot Features:
- Simplifies data
- Detect threats early
- Can turn questions into data for action
What is Microsoft Security Copilot? – how can it help?
The co-pilot inherently helps to make focusing easier. The prompt panel allows you to ask a question such as “What are all the incidents at my facility” where the detailed answer will be generated.
You can also request a summary of vulnerabilities or provide files, URLs, and code snippets and request information about it. You can also use the hint bar to request information about incidents and alerts from other security tools.
What you enter remains under your control, and all hints and answers are saved to help with future problems.
Security Copilot will generate a response to your invitation using what it finds inside and outside your organization.
You can edit the initial prompt to correct the wrong answer, or simply get a different answer. You can pin these interactions to the message board so that the team can easily find anything tagged.
The board stores all of your answers as you work on the investigation and updates dynamically. You can share all your finds with others in real-time in one central location.
Suggest a book
You can ask Security Copilot to cancel the script and then save the prompt in a “hint book”, which means your team can also use the relevant responses from Copilot to help with the investigation.
Limitations of Microsoft Security Copilot
Like other AI-generated content, Security Copilot’s responses can sometimes be wrong/inaccurate, so Copilot has a feedback feature so developers can make Co-Pilot better.
