Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns makes a shocking revelation about his health, he just started walking again and losing over 20 pounds.
In what could be called scary news for Timberwolves fans, Karl-Anthony Towns shares a recent health update that has everyone concerned. The 6-foot-11 center is coming off a career year, and his long-range shots are the talk of the town.
Selected with the first pick in the 2015 draft, Towns lays the foundation for the Wolves’ current roster. The former Kentucky player has played his seven seasons for the Minnesota franchise averaging 23.2 PPG, 11.3 RPG and 1.4 BPG, shooting 52.7% from the field, including close to 40% from 3-point range.
By now, it’s clear how important KAT is to the T-Wolves. Therefore, the recent health update on him is a cause for concern not only for the fans but also for the franchise. Towns has reportedly been in the hospital for an illness that IS NOT COVID and has just started walking again.

The three-time All-Star, who lost more than 20 pounds during this time, didn’t divulge too many details, stating he had bigger things on his mind than basketball.
Karl-Anthony Towns was hospitalized for a NON-COVID illness.
To the surprise of his supporters, Towns was recently hospitalized for unknown reasons.
Unable to even walk during this time, the 26-year-old has suffered complications.

When asked if she was worried about missing training camp, KAT said she had more drastic things to worry about than basketball right now.
Karl-Anthony Towns did not elaborate on his illness, but said he was in hospital. Cleared to walk again on Saturday. When asked if he was worried about missing camp, the season, he said, “There were more drastic things to worry about than basketball at the time.”

Karl-Anthony Towns lost several members of his family to COVID.
The 2020 COVID pandemic caused millions to lose their lives and suffer serious health complications, one of which was the Towns family. KAT lost their mother, uncle, and five other members to the coronavirus pandemic. The trauma wasn’t over with the Wolves center contracting the disease as well.

As a result, Towns was hospitalized and lost close to 50 pounds during this time. The 3-point contest champion even admitted to having anxiety issues, leading him to contemplate playing basketball in the future.
However, according to recent reports, KAT has already started preparing for the upcoming season, bringing a sigh of relief to their fans.
