Tapmad acquires Live Streaming Rights for The Hundred 2022

Pakistan’s renowned OTT platform tapmad has successfully acquired the live broadcast rights to England’s first league of its kind, The Hundred 2022.

The action-packed league The Hundred 2022 will feature eight men’s teams and as many women’s, vying for glory throughout the entirety of the summer season. The franchises will be able to recruit 15 players in their contingents, including four foreign players.

The men’s competition will start on August 3, while the women’s competition will start on August 11. The final of the event will be played on September 3, 2022.

The Hundred features world class players and big names from all over the world and is played by a quite different set of rules.

In this different format of the game, each innings is made up of 100 balls, while the fielding side changes after every 10 deliveries.

According to the rules, each pitcher will be able to throw a maximum of 20 balls in the game and will be able to throw five or 10 consecutive pitches, which will be up to the decision of his boss.

Also, each batting side can take advantage of the power play of 25 balls in the inning, which will be the first 25 balls.

This restriction prevents the opposition from placing more than two players outside the 30-yard circle.

The league will also feature three pacemakers from Pakistan: Wahab Riaz, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain, who will represent the Northern Superchargers, Welsh Fires and Oval Invincibles, respectively.
