Shakti Kapoor’s son detained after positive drug test

Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor has been arrested after a raid on a rave party in Bangalore.

According to Indian media reports, actor and director Siddhanth Kapoor, along with five other people, was held after Bangalore police raided a rave party in the city. “Siddhant Kapoor tested positive for taking drugs in the blood test report. Therefore, they took him to the Ulsoor Police Station,” Police Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bheemashankar S Guled confirmed.

“We will send him to judicial custody,” added Guled.

According to the details, the rave party was in full swing at a luxury hotel on MG Road in Bangalore, when police raided the venue on Sunday night and arrested those accused of using drugs. Police also seized several ‘ecstasy’ pills and a packet of marijuana from the party venue.

“We did not find any drugs on his person, but we did find discarded MDMA and ganja nearby. We will investigate the security cameras to verify who got rid of him,” the official said.

About 35 people, including Kapoor, were reportedly present at the party when officials raided the venue. All of them underwent medical tests for drug use, of which five, including the star child, tested positive.

Reacting to the reports, the veteran actor said, “I’m in Mumbai and I don’t know what’s going on. I found out only from the news channels. All I know as of now is that there is no arrest and Siddhanth has only been detained.”

“He’s a DJ and he plays parties, and that’s what he was in Bangalore for,” said Shakti Kapoor.

Siddhanth, like his sister Shraddha, followed in the footsteps of father Shakti Kapoor and joined the Indian film industry. She has acted in movies including ‘Wadala shooting’, ‘Ugly’, ‘Haseena Parkar’Y ‘Chehre’.
