“Look at these queer a** n**gas”: Anthony Edwards’ homophobic comments cast doubt over following season
Anthony Edwards posts an incredibly homophobic video of himself talking about potentially gay men on the street.
Anthony Edwards is one of the youngest rising stars in the league. Currently, he is under his rookie-scale contract and, like every rookie in the league who impresses his front office, he is offered a contract extension usually the summer before his final season on that rookie-scale contract.
While Edwards makes a huge impact on the court for the Minnesota Timberwolves and would deserve a max offer sheet, his behavior off the court has become a bit of a concern. Mainly, he has to do with the fact that he posted a pretty disrespectful video on his Instagram story a while ago that has NBA Twitter a bit confused.
The first few years of your time in the NBA are the most crucial because they lead to carving out a place for yourself in the league for the next 13 to 16 years.
Anthony Edwards is on a beautiful path to potential stardom, but unfortunately, there could be a big hurdle ahead of him.

Anthony Edwards launches a homophobic message on his social networks.
Anthony Edwards took to his Instagram stories today and posted a video of himself making fun of gay men minding their own business on the side of the road.
In the video, he appears to be accompanied by another woman and the two laugh as Edwards films the men and asks what the world has come to. The video has since been deleted.

The NBA Twitter felt this was pretty disrespectful for the most part and now they’re worried about what could happen to Ant. In a world that’s gotten pretty progressive, blatantly disrespectful comments like this aren’t taken lightly. It is unclear whether or not the league will intervene. Ant, however, has since issued an apology.

This is not the first time that an NBA player has shown his homophobia on social networks. Players like Patrick Beverley, Kevin Durant, and CJ McCollum, among many others, posted tweets with the word ‘f*g’ in them. The tweets have since been deleted.
