Despite of Losing Semi-Final Pakistan Cricket Team Got US $1.5 Crore
Despite of losing semi-final against India Pakistan cricket team has received over US $10 Lac. And Pakistan has taken economic advantage of deprivation from the hosting of ICC World Cup as well. According to sources, collectively Pakistani players have got US $1050000 as prize. Pakistan has given US $60000 for winning 5 group matches and US $7.5 Lac for reaching in semi final. Out of 8 Pakistan won 6 matches and beat strong team like Sri Lanka and former defending champion Australia.
PCB will give cash bonus to Pakistan cricket team
According to the rules ICC would give this amount directly to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which will be divided among the players later on. As a reward for reaching in semi final cash bonus prize too will be given to players from PCB.
The head of Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz group (PMLN), Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has already announced cash prize of 5, 5 Lac rupees for the Pakistan cricket team.
Rewards will encourage Pakistan cricket team
As a result of World Cup Pakistan cricket board will get US $80 Lac. Furthermore Pakistan cricket board is hoping for getting heavy amount of money for commercials, and selling of tickets etc.
It would be helpful in improving the financial conditions of PCB. It is to be remembered that PCB was facing financial problems as no team was willing to visit Pakistan since attacks on the Sri Lankan team. All these rewards will encourage the players and the morale of Pakistan cricket team has become high for the future tour programs.
